Emboldened by fire, man conquered the world, one inch at a time.

I was very excited last week. The zippo lighter in this photo is actually my second, as I broke my first. Knowing that the Zippo Co. is generous in their "you break it, we fix it" policy, I sent it back. I sent this photo along for the ride, and when the lighter came back to me two months later, the photo was also returned. With marks from two separate staples in it. I like to think some Zippo repairman(I prefer to imagine a woman, call me chauvinistic, I'll feign ignorance of the word) enjoyed the photo enough to staple it to the wall of their cubicle( or corner, or floorspace, or cage, or whatever it is they have there) and drew out a connection with the consumer, motivating her to fix Zippos for another day.

I like the little blue aurora above and to the left of the zippo proper.
